What is Maximus Boot Camp Powered by Kathy?
Maximus Boot Camp is a high-intensity core strength and conditioning program that delivers GUARANTEED RESULTS. This one-hour workout will challenge your body in a variety of ways. Our program focuses on all ten components of optimal physical fitness: endurance, stamina, strength, flexibility, power, speed, coordination, agility, balance, and accuracy.
In general, you will find yourself surrounded by a supportive group of people, including someone who is in similar shape (No matter what shape you are in now). Boot Camp is for everyone, regardless of experience and fitness level.
Make it part of YOUR fitness training! After one class, you will be hooked! You are expected to commit to being at class, on time, ready to workout.
What does a typical workout look like?
Each class could include the following:
- an obstacle course
- rope jumping
- stair or hill climbing
- military fitness drills
- plyometrics (speed/strength training drills)
- stamina building endurance courses and/or a variety of other exercises that emphasize improving your overall cardiovascular health, the body’s natural fat burning mechanism.
During the strength/toning/defining portions of the workouts we may:
- perform a series of free weight exercises
- use exercise bands/tubes/balls
- do a series of isometric and isotonic strengthening/conditioning
- perform calisthenics: push-ups, pull-ups, lunges, squats
- do plyometrics
When is Boot Camp offered?
Boot Camp is offered year-round. Boot Campers can enjoy exclusive pricing and enjoy participation in Crossfit classes when signing a 12-month contract. Month-to-month payment is available but only allows access to Boot Camp class ONLY.
Boot campers have three membership options: 2-days a week, 3-days a week and Unlimited (12-month contract and month-to-month). You may come to any class times that fit your schedule. Mixing and matching is allowed and encouraged.
Who leads Maximus Boot Camp Powered by Kathy?
Kathy Childress is a 20+ year veteran in the fitness industry. She has taught group fitness for over 20 years. Kathy created and has run her own Fitness Boot Camps since 2005. Along with her various Group Fitness certifications, Kathy is most proud of her Level 1 CrossFit Certification. She was introduced and has been coaching and participating in CrossFit since December 2007. Her extensive sports background includes competitive gymnastics, cheerleading and soccer.
