Getting Started:


  • Patrons who want to participate in CrossFit must start out with one of the GroupOn Intro Classes.  These take place two times each week and can be scheduled by phone or online. Call to register 317-9568

CrossFit and “The Academy”

All participants who choose to participate in CrossFit classes will spend their first 4 weeks in our fundamentals program called The Academy. Learn about The Academy and view the class schedule by clicking here: The Academy.  After 4 weeks in The Academy, participants will move into regular CrossFit classes.  View the CrossFit Master Schedule by clicking here: CrossFit Master Schedule.

In training sessions, certified coaches design and guide students through a customized workouts.

CrossFit Maximus:

With two locations in Lexington, (Maximus HQ) a 9,800-square-foot facility on Palumbo Drive and a new 7,000-square-foot facility (Maximus North Ashland) on National Avenue, CrossFit Maximus boasts onsite massage centers, a childcare center (not available at the National Avenue location), CrossFit classes, boot camps, kids’ fitness courses, and nutrition classes. During sessions, they draw from the gym’s arsenal of functional strength-training equipment, including free weights, medicine balls, and slack lines. Through group training and support, the team strives to create a communal atmosphere where everyone knows your name and a supportive space where everyone refrains from menacingly whispering it in unison.

Boot-camp sessions last 60 minutes and hone fitness building blocks such as endurance, flexibility, and strength. The ever-changing lineup of conditioning activities includes jumping rope, pulling sleds, and spelling out motivational phrases in free-weight semaphore. The 20-day nutrition plan augments the workout regimen with lifestyle tips and a meal plan; clients also enjoy a soothing 60-minute massage. View the class schedule.

    Aside from this you will also be developing an increased level of balance, flexibility, coordination, and endurance.
    If your goal is to build bulky muscle, the best candidate for your home gym is strength-training benches.
