Dee discovered CrossFit after spending years in a “Globo” gym and at that first workout, knew she had stumbled upon something incredible. It’s not that she didn’t go to gyms that had great equipment or qualified staff, but everything was left up to her. How far would she push herself today, doing what, for how long? “My degree is in Accounting, not Exercise Science. So yeah, I worked out but was it effective? Not really. What I love about CrossFit is we work with the whole person. Our coaches say, ‘Its not just what you do here, in your workout. You’ve also got to stop eating crap. Now let me tell you how.”
Her favorite part of CrossFit is the community. “I was at the same gym for years and barely knew anyone. That’s hard to do here. Someone will talk to you, someone will encourage you. It’s built in, and that’s what kept me coming back.”
