As part of our opening our brand new facility, CrossFit Maximus would like to formally announce our “Adopt a Mat” Program! We are very excited about our new facility and would like to offer our members a chance to own a piece of their new home. We have partnered with Southern States (virtually next door) to offer CrossFit Maximus members workout mats for your new facility for $37. Currently these mats are strays, abandoned, or homeless and are in desperate need of a good home. What better place for these neglected mats to live than at CFM?
These mats can be purchased at Southern States or CrossFit Maximus during normal business hours and will be delivered to us via forklift (100lbs each). Once they arrive at Maximus, we will personalize your mat and include it into the fold. We are very excited about this program and hope that you guys take advantage of it.

Mats are on sale this weekend for 34.99 I bought two. The sale runs through 5pm Saturday!!! How cool would it be to have the entire floor covered in black
That would be pretty sweet, even more so because it would be done by our community.
Im in!! This is a good idea, Crossfit has been awesome for me, i gladly give back to my 2nd home and help out any way I can.
Sounds like a scam…I’m in
dunno, the mat in the picture looks so happy, maybe he doesn’t want to be adopted but I’m a sucker for a good deal, 2 for one….thinking about making my own little corner in the pit.
It would appear the new rubber mats have a tendency to grip to clothing causing the material to remain in the same place against the rubber mats. While this may seem to be a rather innocent property of said mats, after doing 100 abmat situps, you will likely notice a friction burn on the area in between your gluteus MAXIMUS, aka tailbone region. Said friction burn may not become apparent until after you step into a hot shower, at which time you will be quite aware of it’s presence.
This has been a public service announcement for anyone doing Abmat situps on the new rubber floor…
Miles, that mat is so happy because it’s one that we recently adopted.
You should of seen the smiles of the two mats I adopted today. But when I told them Laird, Todd D, or Kitchen may be dropping really heavy weight on them they frowned.
I adopted a mat yesterday! Looking forward to seeing my name on it.
Rick… Thanks for the heads up!! I now have a valid excuse not to do Abmat sit-ups
. J/K!!
