Great turnout at the Labor Day WOD yesterday!  We hope everyone enjoyed their holiday weekend!

Why Do You Paleo?

Why do you chose to lead a lifestyle of eating based on the paleo nutrition model?  Never heard of it?  It’s simply leans meats, veggies, nuts & seeds, some fruit, little starch and NO sugar.  No dairy, no grains, no legumes, nothing processed.  In my opinion I have to have a damn good reason to eliminate some of my favorite foods from my daily meals. Turns out there are too many to count!

My top five reasons include:  health & well being day to day, reduced injury’s due to reduction in “silent inflammation,” faster healing time/recovery time, eating REAL food, and piece of mind knowing that I am not slowly killing myself with what I consume.

I’m not saying that I am 100%, because I’m not.  All I’m saying is that I have reasons other than looking better and losing weight to make this big a change.  Between the heaps of grains I used to consume and gallons of milk, this is a huge change for me.
