53 Ways to Build Muscle, Gain Strength & Be Awesome

11.    Jump or throw something after your warm up and before you start your main lift. It fires up your CNS and better prepares you to move some heavy s*#t.

A good example would be doing some Power Cleans before a heavy back squat.  You could even do 2-3 reps of box jumps to a high box.

  1. SO PROUD OF THESE GUYS THEY PUSHED SO HARD! It was really hot and they were totally game faced and ready to ROCK!!!!

  2. It was f’n great seeing you guys compete on the live stream. The whole event was amazing. I wish I could have been there.

    This workout looks badass too!

  3. I just wanted to say how much it means to me (and I’m sure I speak for the rest of the team) that so many people traveled out to LA to support the team. I’ve never seen anything like that – it was incredible!
And I certainly am not discounting the people that couldn’t make the trip. The support we received from the entire Maximus family leaves me nearly speechless.
I’m having trouble finding the right words here, but “Thank you” simply isn’t enough. You people are amazing and remind me every day how fortunate I am to be a part of this community!

  4. Sweat your a rockstar and if everyone was as humble and genuine as you this world would be a better place!
And I dunno but I think Miles just called me as ass!;)

  5. You guys were awesome! It was so inspiring to see your hard work pay off so well at such an exciting event. That place looked amazing and a bit intimidating. Way to go!

  6. I was truly amazed over the weekend at the community that CrossFit has developed. We met and competed against some of the most humble athletes I have ever seen.

I was just as impressed with the support our team received at the games and back in Lexington. We were so excited when we saw the pictures of everyone huddled around the computer screen in the arena. I don’t believe any team there had as much support as we did.

I truly believe that we have the best community of people around. CrossFit is definately greater than the sum of it’s parts and what we have in Lexington is truly something special.
