  1. Congratulations to everyone who competed in Sectionals this weekend! Your dedication and performances are to be commended. You all represented well and are a great source of pride to CrossFit Maximus! Great job!

  2. Wow! Some awesome performances! Sharp was 4th, Bo a well earned 18th (Bo we were all behind you even though you took the last month off), and the surprise of all:

Dieme finished 3d if I read the chart right after the sandbag run! He finished right behind Josh Everett!

Lincoln had a strong showing, Seth as well. Amazing job, guys, you motivate us all. I don’t know Lisa and Jenn’s last names but I am sure they crushed it. Congrats.

  3. Thanks for the link Jeromie, I’ve been checking it all day watching CFM rock the house. According to Fielding, everyone of our athletes did an amazing job. They all completed each event, no DNFs!

Bo, I wish I could have been there to see your performance. Great job! I’m guessing you were off the plane less than 24 hours before your first wod. Almost a month away from the gym, jet lag, sleep loss, and you still qualified to move on besting 174 of the other competitors!

Jen Smith finished 5th overall, crushing the final wod finishing in 4th. Sharp, you’re a monster. Congratulations!

  4. Somewhat off-topic (sorry)

For those who belong to the Crossfit Journal (and everyone should, $25 a year) there is a good spontaneous nose bleed during a box squat 5 minutes in to the video on the reverse hyper tonight. The dude squats 1008, and deadlifts 800. Nice.

  5. It was a great day in Columbus today. A lot of people came up from Lexington (Fielding, Brad, Freeman, Jen Sharp and Kellie Hornback, Kathy and Tripp, Mr./Mrs. Hornback, Amy S., Leah, Jason Ford, Greg Fishman, Dennis, might be missing someone) who weren’t competing, was great having them here.

Sharp was unreal, almost won the last WOD, was second by only 5 seconds. WOD was 15-12-9 Power Clean/Jerk 155/105, Pull-Ups, Box Jumps, and then a 40 yard sled pull from the ground. Bo overcame a lot of hurdles to make it and will excel at the Regionals with more Metcon work. Jen Smith was super and consistently was in the top 5-7 in every event, not sure she has any weaknesses. Lisa was on the right on the cusp and barely missed the cut; I have no doubt she’ll make it in the future. It was great watching them pull through.

Today made me really part to be part of the larger CrossFit family. A lot of great people in Columbus that were supporting CrossFit. Everyone else in Columbus, at the Arnold, belonged on the next episode of Jerry Springer or Douchebagornot.com. Hope everyone had a great weekend.

  6. Bo, I don’t know how you did it. I’ve returned from that side of the world and it took me about a week to recover. I couldn’t imagine doing these crazy exercises a day or so after I returned. Congrats to those who competed.

  7. Amy S.. Lisa really appreciates you jumping in last minute to take her to Columbus because her sweet husband was in bed sick with the stomach bug, you are such an angel ;-)

  8. I was happy to help there is nothing like a last minute trip! Lisa and Jen both rocked for the girls and Bo, Sharp, Lincoln B., & Seth all made us proud! My favorite part was the guys rushing to coach Lisa in the final portion of the last WOD. It shows what a great crossfit family we have formed in the past year. I am gonna bust my butt every day hoping to compete next year. I really look fwd to the addition of a very special “heat card” holder!!!

  9. I gotta say a few of my favorite moments were from Saturday… Tripp picking his color at dinner, our obvious stock in AA batteries from our dinner discussion, the look on my face on the second floor of the Extended Stay, shoeless dude followers, dinner rubs and a toxic smell in our room… We need a weekend like this once a month!!

  10. Amy—thanks so much for stepping in and driving up!! Leah—those “moments” you mentioned will make me laugh for a long time! Hilarious! To all the competitors today—awesome job!! Everyone put in some serious work today!! Wasn’t really my day today—wasn’t really my week prior to this event either….but I still had a blast. Thanks to all, both fellow competitors and supporters for everything!!

  11. Leah, can you expand on the AA batteries, do not really understand what you are talking about here.

  12. HAAlarious, good answer “Amy S”. Maybe Lisa can answer this then. I am sure she would love to.

  13. Like the saying goes Lincoln… “you only get one shot”… If you needed clarification you shoulda asked us the other night when Amy and I “whispered” it to you…
