Varinka Barbini will hosting a training program at CrossFit Maximus starting Thursday January 7, 2010, at 7:30 pm, for Lexington’s first ever Mini-Marathon, which will take place in downtown Lexington on March 28, 2010. Varinka is a police officer with the Lexington-Fayette Urban County Government, and a veteran runner, with many awards and citations as a Army veteran, police officer and champion runner. This program will help any individual prepare for the 13.1 mile road run, and has been developed in the levels, beginner runner/walker, beginner with cross training option, and intermediate with cross training option. These programs prepares any individual for the run, and also provides a cross training program as well for CrossFit Maximus members to further improve their training success.

Time: 0845 meet 0900 run (we have set it back a little due to the weather)

Notes: It is supposed to be very cold, dress appropriately. If we arrive at the site and find that the weather is too dangerous to run on the roads, we will discuss that as a group.
