Here is was Sage-a-licious says about the difference between dropping and letting the bar crash down on you at the bottom of the clean (and snatch) and the controlled 3d pull:
“you know that you are dropping if that bar is crashing on you at the bottom. if you are pulling yourself down, you will meet the bar and be able to be in control of it the whole time. when it crashes on us, we dont have time to tighten up and lose control of the weight.”
Those guys in the pic above make Lady Gaga look like John Wayne.

She’s Mike Burgener’s daughter. She is teaching the Oly lifting seminar in April. By that time, I have to be able to squat and tear my shoulders out of their sockets.
Which reminds me, I have to go squat.
Went head to head with the future Crossfit Games Qualifier BoHawk. I wish I could say I shot the Hawk down with my 21 gun salute but my guns locked up on me.
Congrats Bo on a PR of 30 rounds with Cindy that’s awesome keep that shit up. I did 20 rds I need new shotguns or ammo maybe both.

Just have to say thanks to Lincoln with “help” on my pull-ups. He looked at the wrong clock and thought I only had 5 min left of Cindy…I had 15 min left LOL
Nice post Fielding! Elizabeth, I’m detecting a lack of gratitude for the two times I pulled down your band. I thought I was really helping until I realized you only need to pull it down a few inches…
Yuck, the dreaded Cindy. The last time I PR’d I puked, and the next time I did Cindy I fell short of my PR, so I was really dreading this one. But then I felt great and actually knocked down another PR: 19 solid rounds (it may have been 20, I have a suspicion that I didn’t count 1 round). Either way, I’m happy and will take the legit 19. First PR in a few months, perhaps my wife’s damn semi-vegetarian diet is actually helping me get over the hump. Yesterday’s ring dips really hurt my push ups… No puke this time (happy emoticon here).
Awww! AJ thanks so much. I just happened to grab a band that gave no support. Guess it made me do more work so that’s alright. But yes, I have short legs so I don’t have to pull it to far. We learn something new about each other every day
