  1. Hope that the WOD will be mainly in the fire station where there should be very warm! BTW, I have never toured a fire house yet. :-P

  2. Thank you to everyone involved in putting the wods together today. I had a great time, and the wod was a butt kicker. Starting off with heavy clean and jerks, and ending with burpees… Always interesting!

  3. Have anyone ever tried out MEBB program, which is to integrate the Olympic lifts with CF? I think it more interesting than CFSB. Anyone has any opinion on MEBB vs CFSB?

  4. I first off I wanted to thank Sweat and his crew for allowing us to use their facility today. :)

Also I wanted to congratulate Adam and Kelli on their wedding today. I am so happy for the two of them.

  5. I don’t know what MEEB is, either! ;-) I know what MEBB is, tho. :-P Maybe Senior needs to put on reading glasses when typing?

  6. Hmmm. I feel like I am chasing my tail a little bit here. I’ll keep going down this rabbit hole, because I like Oly lifting:

Ling, do you know what MEEB stands for? That is what is the word that follows M, E, E, and B? Glasses don’t help cataracts.

  7. I didn’t know that Senior has a tail. He must hide it pretty well. ;-)

Someone recommended Catalyst on Tue. So I checked out their website and found this MEBB program, similar to CFSB, but Olympic lifts orientated. Wanted to try it out. But wondering if anyone has any opinion on it.

Senior, I won’t tell you what MEBB is until you admit reading glasses do help! :-P

  8. 1. Catalyst rocks. I aspire to Oly lift, but I am very tight. I am not discouraged, though. As Tucker says: “Its not where you’ve been, its where you’re going.” I got muscle ups, I can get Oly lifts too (like anyone else).

    2. I am actually near-sighted. So reading glasses do not help.

    3. I have been called “silver back” (referring to a silver back gorilla) at CFM before. And someone once asked if I broke my hip once after I fell down after a snatch. :-)

  9. In Las Vegas for work. So, walked 2 miles to the local Crossfit, did the lumberjack wod, then walked the 2 miles back. Not bad for a travel wod!

  10. Rob, nice work putting the plank holds into the wod today. 9 hours later and everything underneath my fat roll is in pain.

I’d like to see this wod again in the near future. I need another shot at the HSPUs.

I think Paul needs more fiber.

If anyone is gathering for a Sunday wod, throw a post up and let us know.

  11. Bo did the Lumberjack WOD tonight and CRUSHED some of the best CrossFitters in the country (who were in town for the Cert.) in just over 23 minutes, AFTER he did Fran. He could have broke 22 minutes sans Fran. Only person beat him (out of 8) in just under 22, but hadn’t done Fran first. Was impressive.

  12. I’m sure traveling is hard on those guys (and girl) so I had a little advantage there. Fun wod though. It’s good to see heavy jitters struggle like the rest of us. An awesome experience.

Rest that back sharp. You’ll be back in no time.

I’m gonna go sleep like a baby now.

  13. Sharp..
Hope your back gets better very soon. We missed u and Jen out last night :(

    Bo…
    That’s awesome! Your a machine!

  14. Short notice I know, but I’m going to have a WOD in my garage gym Sunday 3:15 ish for any that want to drop by. call or text if you’d like directions, 859-771-5460. AJ and Sammy are in so far.

  15. I wanted to thank everyone for coming to our firehouse and training with us. It was a great time surrounded by good people. Everyone did an outstanding job.

AJ, I’m glad you enjoy the pain of the plank, you can thank Sweat for the fireman carry across the bay though.

I hope to do this again in the future when CFM is holding another cert.

We named the WOD, “Last Man Down”
